The Membership Committee’s mission is to connect, engage, and celebrate our diverse community of alumni.

As the Membership Committee, we are dedicated to fostering a strong and vibrant alumni community. We work tirelessly to develop strategies and initiatives that attract new members.

The Membership Committees’ sole purpose is attracting new members to the association.  With this purpose in mind, our committee plays a vital role in developing strategies and initiatives to attract new members.  Our responsibilities include organizing membership drives, creating engaging content and communications to advertise our events, and collaborating with other committees to ensure that our financial, advertising, and publicity needs are met.

We also work closely with the Events Committee to plan our membership events to ensure their success.

We believe that every alumnus is a vital part of our community, and we strive to make everyone feel a sense of belonging and pride in being a part of the Ruston High School legacy.

The Social Media & Communications Committee’s mission is to facilitate open, engaging, and meaningful communication between the alumni, the school, and the community.

We strive to keep our alumni updated with the latest news, events, and developments from our alma mater and the alumni community.

As a committee, we manage various communication channels including news blogs social media, and the alumni website. We also coordinate with other committees and the school administration to ensure that our messages are timely, accurate, and relevant.

We are always looking for alumni who are interested in contributing their time, skills, and ideas to the committee. Whether you're a writer, a social media guru, or just someone who loves Ruston High, there's a place for you here.

The Finance Committee is a team of dedicated alumni who are committed to ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the Ruston High School Alumni Association.

Our committee is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the Alumni Association including budgeting, financial planning, and management of funds raised through various initiatives. We work closely with all other committees to ensure that funds are allocated and used in a manner that supports the goals of the Alumni Association and benefits Ruston High School.

We also play a key role in fundraising efforts, working with the other committees to identify potential sources of funding and ensure that all financial transactions are transparent and accountable.

We welcome all alumni who have an interest in finance and want to contribute to the financial well-being of the Alumni Association. Whether you have a background in finance, accounting, or just a passion for our school, we would love to have you on our team.

The Fundraising & Grants Committee is a group of dedicated alumni who are committed to securing financial resources for our beloved Ruston High School and its community of Bearcats.

Our committee is responsible for planning and executing fundraising initiatives, as well as researching and awarding grants that can benefit our school. We work closely with the school administration, local businesses, and the wider community to identify potential funding opportunities and ensure that these resources are used effectively.

We also collaborate with other committees to support their financial needs, whether it's for scholarships, school projects, events, or other initiatives. Our goal is to ensure that Ruston High School continues to provide excellent education and opportunities for current and future students.

The History Committee is a group of dedicated alumni who are passionate about preserving and celebrating the rich history of our beloved Ruston High School and its community of Bearcats.

Our committee is responsible for collecting, documenting, and sharing the historical milestones, traditions, and stories of Ruston High School. We work closely with the school administration, local historians, and the wider community to ensure that the legacy of our school is remembered and honored.

We also organize events and initiatives that celebrate our school's history, such as reunions, historical tours, and exhibitions. Our goal is to ensure that the spirit and achievements of past generations of Bearcats are recognized and inspire current and future students.

The Nominating Committee is a group of dedicated alumni who are committed to identifying and nominating capable and passionate individuals for leadership roles within our beloved Ruston High School's Alumni Association.

Our committee is responsible for the crucial task of selecting candidates for various positions within the association, including the executive committee and other sub-committees. We strive to ensure that the nominated individuals embody the spirit of Ruston High School and are dedicated to serving the alumni community.

We work closely with all other committees and the school administration to understand the needs and requirements of each role. Our goal is to ensure that the leadership of the Alumni Association is in capable hands, driving the association towards its mission and vision.

The Awards Committee is a group of dedicated alumni who are committed to recognizing and honoring the outstanding achievements of our fellow Bearcats.

Our committee is responsible for the selection and induction of distinguished educators and alumni into the Ruston High School Alumni Association Hall of Fame. This prestigious honor is bestowed upon those who have made significant contributions to their professions, communities, or our beloved school.

We work closely with all other committees, the school administration, and the wider community to identify potential inductees. Our goal is to ensure that the legacy of excellence at Ruston High School is celebrated and that the remarkable achievements of our educators and alumni are recognized and remembered.

The Scholarship Committee is a group of dedicated alumni who are committed to supporting the educational aspirations of current and future Bearcats.

Our committee is responsible for managing the scholarship program of the Alumni Association. This includes fundraising for scholarships, establishing scholarship criteria, reviewing applications, and selecting deserving recipients.

We work closely with all other committees, the school administration, and the wider community to ensure that our scholarships provide meaningful support to students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, community service, and a strong Bearcat spirit.

The Veterans Recognition Committee is a group of dedicated alumni who are committed to honoring the service and sacrifice of our fellow Bearcats who have served in the military.

Our committee is responsible for maintaining the Veterans Memorial, organizing recognition events, and ensuring that the contributions of our veteran alumni are recognized and remembered. We work closely with all other committees, the school administration, and the wider community to honor our veterans and educate our community about their service.

We also provide support and resources for alumni who are currently serving or have served in the military, and we strive to foster a strong connection between our veteran alumni and the rest of the Bearcat community.
